Kosher Home Delivered Meals
This service has been available for many years. This past fiscal year, we served anywhere between 12-15 clients at any given time. The Jewish Home in Scranton provides the kosher food, it is brought to the JFS office, staff prepares each meal package, and volunteers deliver the meal to the clients. This is done three days a week, and sufficient food is provided so that the recipient receives more than five days of meals. The funding for this program comes from the Area Agency on Aging.
